If your 2003 Saturn Vue can go into reverse but not forward when hot, it may indicate Transmission Fluid issues, such as low fluid levels, contamination, or overheating. The transmission may be experiencing internal damage or wear, particularly in the forward gear clutches or bands. It could also be a sign of a failing transmission solenoid or valve body issue. It's advisable to have a mechanic diagnose the problem to prevent further damage.
PRDN stands for "Park/Reverse/Drive/Neutral," which are the different gear options found in an automatic transmission vehicle. These gears control the movement of the vehicle in different ways - park for parking, reverse for backing up, drive for moving forward, and neutral for disengaging the transmission from the engine.
yes it has reverse and both high and low range gears . i can get it to run in both forward and reverse but only in low range . when i shift IT into high range it is still running in low range .
If someone were to go to Saturn without any protective gear, they would face immediate death due to the planet's extreme conditions. Saturn is a gas giant with no solid surface, and its atmosphere is composed mainly of hydrogen and helium, lacking breathable air. The intense pressure and cold temperatures, along with high radiation levels, would be fatal within moments. Additionally, the lack of oxygen and the presence of toxic gases would make survival impossible.
Shorter Wheel Base, Wider Track, Transmission (5 Speed w/No Reverse), Suspension. Overall a better more stable platform. (NOTE: 2005 Predator added reverse.) they dont have 5th gear, if so i cant find mine???
The positive wire for the reverse light is typically the one that carries power to the light bulb. It is usually connected to the switch that is activated when the vehicle is put into reverse gear. You can use a multimeter to test which wire is carrying power when the vehicle is in reverse.
Same as forward but... Backwards
Shift linkages not put in the correct spots.
Yes it does. And better forward gear ratios
If your car moves forward when the gear selector is in reverse, it could indicate a serious issue, such as a malfunctioning transmission or a problem with the gear linkage. The reverse gear might not be engaging properly, allowing the car to move forward instead. It's essential to have your vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue, as it can lead to dangerous driving conditions.
do you have all forward gears? if yes, you have broken reverse gear (one turning the spin into reverse) in the transmission, if you miss also some forward gears it shifts rough, tranny is to be rebuilt... either way it's expensive fix
only automatic transmissions, manuals have their forward and reverse gear selections
Sounds like it is not really in reverse-check trans to see what gear it's really in.
shift into reverse gear
Your gear linkage is offset!! Or you are on a steep down hill
A reverse idler gear in a manual transmission. It converts the reverse gears turning direction into the outputshaft to reverse its direction. The transmission can not spin clockwise when the reverse idler is engaged thus it only spins backwards not forward.
Bang depending on the vehicle, you will ruin the transmission.
You need a new gear box (transmission)
