Because vinegar is more dense than water.
I think that oil and water are equally dense because when they are put together they blend. If vinegar was denser than water it would sink to the bottom of the water ,but it doesn't just like water doesn't sink to the bottom of vinegar when poured in a same container without mixing.
the specific gravity of water is '1' and that of Molases between 1.4 and 1.6., ...Molasses being heavier would sink
Vinegar is a polar solvent and salt is a polar solute. Therefore vinegar dissolves salt. Plus, salt's are very soluable and will almost always completely disassociate when added to water(you vinegar isn't 100% vinegar, there's also lots of plain water than salt can dissolve in.)
To create the greenhouse effect, you can fill the jar with vinegar about halfway and then add an equal amount of water. This will allow for the reaction between vinegar and baking soda to produce carbon dioxide, simulating the greenhouse effect in a closed system.
The vinegar isn't absorbed by the egg.
Vinegar water.
why does an object sink
When vinegar is added to water, the vinegar dissolves in the water, since vinegar is primarily acetic acid dissolved in water. This solution may lower the pH of the water, making it more acidic.
A hard boiled egg will sink in water because it is denser than water. However, it will float in vinegar due to the lower density of vinegar compared to the egg.
Antifreeze is typically denser than water, so it will sink when added to water.
Vinegar is acidic. If too much vinegar is added to water, the pH of the water will decrease and the fish will die.
it's because the vinegar has a density greater than that of the egg..... (*_*)
Yes, becuse a homogenous mixture is formed when vinegar is added into water
No. Oil will float on vinegar as vinegar has the same density as water.
A mixture of vinegar and baking soda can be a good natural sink cleaner. Simply sprinkle the baking soda in the sink, then pour vinegar over it, let it sit for a few minutes, and scrub with a brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly with water.
To unclog a sink using baking soda and vinegar, first pour boiling water down the drain. Then, pour half a cup of baking soda followed by half a cup of vinegar. Let it sit for about 30 minutes, then flush with hot water. Repeat if necessary.
It will still fizz, but fizz less the more water is added to the vinegar (acid) solution. Vinegar is already a diluted solution of acetic acid, and is mostly water.
