Endonucleases are used in biotechnology because they are able to be applied to a specific part of a DNA sequence and will cut the DNA only in these locations. Exonucleases on the other hand have the following issues:
1) An exonuclease will digest and entirely consume DNA/RNA. As opposed to cut a specific location of DNA, they will eat the entire strand if they are not stopped.
2) They will only begin digestion at the ends of the DNA/RNA molecule. Circular plasmid DNA will not be affected by an exonuclease, because there are no beginnings or ends to the DNA sequence.
3) More over, as mentioned in (2) they will only begin digestion at the ends of the DNA sequences, thus they are much less accurate in where they begin cutting the DNA/RNA.
Because of this lack of control of exonucleases, they are difficult to use and generally not used in biotechnological techniques.
The molecule that caused transformation in Griffith's mouse experiment was DNA. When heat-killed S strain bacteria (which had DNA) were mixed with live R strain bacteria (which did not), the DNA from the dead S strain bacteria was able to transfer genetic information to the live R strain bacteria, making them pathogenic.
The base pairs form the rungs of the ladder.
The letter R does not represent one of the four possible bases in DNA. The four bases in DNA are adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C), and guanine (G).

Isolate DNA from the sample of interest. Digest the DNA with a restriction enzyme to cut it into fragments. Separate the fragments by size using gel electrophoresis. Transfer the fragments to a membrane and hybridize with a labeled probe to visualize the DNA fragments.

Hormones can be produced through biotechnology methods such as genetic engineering and recombinant DNA technology. These methods allow for the large-scale production of hormones that can be used in various applications, including medical treatments and agriculture.
Restriction enzymes, also known as restriction endonucleases, are used to cut DNA into fragments by recognizing specific DNA sequences and cleaving the phosphate backbone at these sites. These enzymes are crucial in molecular biology for techniques such as DNA cloning, gene editing, and DNA fingerprinting.

It can be done by removing gene for oil synthesis from seeds by recombinant DNA technology or genetic engineering. - First the genes for formation of oil in the seed is identified and appropriate genesare removed with the help of enzyme restriction endonuleases. - This DNA is treated with DNA ligases to make seed with RNA at the broken ends. -The cells wih modified DNA is grown aseptically in a nutrient medium and will differntiate into a new plant whose seeds will not have oil in them.
the constituents of oil is glycerol and fatty acids.using r-DNA tech.one can obtain oilless seeds by preventing the synthesis of glycerol or fatty acids.this is done by removing the specific gene responsible for the synthesis.
