If your audience largely consists of young people, a story on global warming would be very relevant to them, because they will inherit the world after the older generation messes it up (if that is what we do). If your audience consists of older people with children or grandchildren of their own, they will find it relevant to know just what kind of world they could be leaving to the children and grandchildren. They will also want to know what can be done to avert a future disaster. A story on global warming can be relevant to everyone.
In rhetoric, that is called "begging the question". It means that you already accept that something is true and you are trying to force an answer from another person that would make them agree with you. Either way you answer the question means that you accept that the concept of global warming is true. Global warming is not proved to be factual and probably exists only as a method to frighten young children into convincing their parents to give the government more control over their private life, money and business. The earth warms and cools. We have too little data to make a prediction about how man is affecting the climate and what data we do have is now suspect because of bad science. When I was a kid, we had a ice age scare. And, no, an ice age didn't happen.
Other polar bears may kill young polar bearsHumans hunting themPolluted airOil drillingOther industrial disturbancesBears have no predators other than man. They are not being killed by disease. So apart from global warming the only other way they die is by hunting.Hunting of polar bears is allowed to native groups in all the countries around the Arctic Circle. There is a quota allowed. In 2011 the quota for Canada is 500 bears. In 2011 in Russia the quota was set to zero. No bears were allowed to be hunted.
A huge meteor striking the earth and wiping out every living thing.Cooking frogs in a pan of cold water. The heat increases slowly, but the frogs say, "Oh, we've had warm days in the past!" So they don't jump out. After a while they say, "Well, okay, it's getting warmer all right, but it's nothing we did. The earth is just warming after the last Ice Age!" Some of the very old and very young frogs die, but the others don't worry and do nothing. There's a lot of energy in the water now. "We've had cyclones before!" say the frogs as the water surges and boils around them. Alas! Then it's too late! The frogs say no more.

Well, the climate has change in the past years. But it has been a lot hotter then this and colder. So I say no to global warming. They just started it for the money. Most scienctists say Global Warming is a hoax. The earth can't really be afected but people. But ya its good to stop pollution and clean the earth. So I say they only are doing it for money, and to reduce pollution. I think its unfair because in schools they are showing stuff about Global Warming. It isn't ever a proven fact that its true which it isn't. so no you shouldn't. Just about all the climate scientists in the world believe that Global Climate Change is happening, that it is caused by humans, and also that we can do something about it if we act now. Every country in the world except the US has ratified the Kyoto Protocol where they also agree and believe the scientists. The US has a new President who also accepts the truth about Global Warming. Young people will still be alive in 50 or 60 years. They will know then if we did enough now to stop it.Read the link below: 100 facts about Global Warming
No doubt humans will survive, no matter what we do to the world, but scientists do predict widespread species extinctions, so from that point of view, global warming is indeed deadly. Heatstroke does kill people occasionally, generally the very young or elderly. This can occur because a small average increase in temperatures can really mean a major, short-term temperature increase such as we saw in Moscow, when temperatures soared above 100 degrees Fahrenheit for the first time on record and remained above 100 degrees for several days. Major floods also contribute to human casualties. Droughts can cause starvation and consequent deaths. To the extent that these causes result from global warming, it can be deadly.

Greenhouse gases released by humans are causing global warming. Global warming is causing climate change. Both of these conditions are having a seriously negative effect on life on Earth. Animal and plant species are dying if they can't move to cooler climates. Heat waves are killing more people, especially the very old and very young. Famines in parts of Africa are killing thousands of people. Coastal areas, cities as well as croplands, are becoming more in danger from storm tides as sea levels rise from melting glaciers and warming expanding oceans.
