Helium is not very dense especially because it is a gas, hence when you inhale helium it makes your voice high pitched because the low density the sound waves are travelling through lets the sound waves go faster, it is like fast forwarding a video or a sound the pitch get higher and higher the faster you go.

What is helium percent by volume?

Helium accounts for around 8% of the volume of all matter (baryonic particles) in the universe.

How is it possible that the volume of a helium tank is much less that 500 balloons it can fill?

The volume of a helium tank refers to the physical space it occupies and is not directly related to the number of balloons it can fill. When the helium is released from the tank and fills the balloons, it expands to occupy a much larger volume due to the low density of helium gas compared to its liquid form in the tank. This expansion allows the helium from a tank with a small volume to fill a larger number of balloons.

Is helium dence?

depends on the size of its container and volume of helium filling it

When a helium balloon rises in the air it expands. If the volume of the balloon doubles what happens to the density of the helium inside it?

If the volume of the helium balloon doubles as it rises, the density of the helium inside it decreases. This is because the same amount of helium gas is now spread out over a larger volume, leading to a lower density.

Earth's volume is how many times greater than the Moon's?

The volume of the Earth is 50 times greater than the volume of the Moon.

What other elements in the Sun are?

The surface of the Sun consists of hydrogen (about 74% of its mass, or 92% of its volume), helium (about 24% of mass, 7% of volume), and trace quantities of other elements, including iron, nickel, oxygen, silicon, sulfur, magnesium, carbon, neon, calcium, and chromium.

What is the difference in lifting power between hydrogen and helium?

Hydrogen has more lifting power than helium because it is lighter. This means that a given volume of hydrogen can lift more weight than the same volume of helium.

When a helium balloon rises in the air it expands If the volume of the balloon doubles what happens to the density of the helium inside it?

If the volume of the balloon doubles while the mass of helium remains the same, the density of helium inside the balloon would decrease by half. Density is calculated as mass divided by volume, so if volume doubles and mass stays the same, the density will decrease.

What would be the volume of 1 liter helium gas if transferred to liquid helium?

2.5 liters. The gas will fill whatever volume you put it in, no matter what (as long as it remains a gas and not a liquid). The only thing that will change is the pressure and/or temperature of the gas when making the transfer.

What is the mixture 15ml of oxygen and 5ml of helium?
