The following is from my post on depression: If the amount of daylight you have been exposed to recently has reduced, perhaps due to the change of seasons, see Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.) in section 2, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris and, instead of taking around 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily; replace 2 of them with cod liver oil supplements for the winter months only! (or, as probably a better alternative to the 2 cod liver oil supplements: 1 teaspoonful of cod liver oil, with a little butter, to ensure it is utilised; I take mine on sourdough rye bread, or toast, covered with fishpaste, and pepper, to mask the strong taste). Optimal levels are 50 - 55 ng/ml (115 - 125 nmol / L). It should be above 32 ng/ml.
Don't use medications and supplements together, without medical advice, except for Omega 3, which is safe, anytime. Take enough supplements to attain, or exceed the levels (no possibility of overdose) of those every day, with an orange, or the juice of a freshly squeezed orange, grapefruit, or other antioxidant.
(make sure the epa is higher then the dha) important for adults... kids need the opposite levels: more dha than epa, but all are beneficial, if you can't achieve the recommended proportions.
Consider having your doctor test your vitamin D levels, using the 25 Hydroxyvitamin D test. Those people who receive adequate exposure to sunlight, daily, won't need the vitamin D from cod liver oil, but many people, particularly those in latitudes far from the equator, find this difficult to achieve. 60% of depressed people have low vitamin D levels. Your levels of vitamin D are probably low: see TAMIN D3. Without the small intestines, there would be malabsoption problems. The person would get little nutrients or vitamins. The person would need to take vitamin pills and other minerals to sustain life.
Vitamin D would not be synthesized in a person confined to a dark cell for a long time. Vitamin D is primarily synthesized in the skin in response to sunlight exposure. Without access to sunlight, the body would not be able to produce vitamin D naturally.
No, absolutely not. If there are other ingredients in the vitamin for filler, they might, but vitamin D will not cause hives, it is an essential vitamin. Getting hives from vitamin D would be like getting hives from vitamin C.
The conversion rate for vitamin E acetate to IU is 1 IU = 0.67 mg. Therefore, 30 IU of vitamin E would be approximately equal to 20 mg of vitamin E acetate.
AnswerVitamin E is very good for your skin. Taking it in the form of a vitamin supplement is the most effective method.Vitamin A and Vitamin C is also vital to take in if you want to keep your skin healthy :)Vitamin B is also very good for your skin, you can find Vitamin B in bread, rice, pastas and whole grains.
Vitamin C comes in pills with strength of 5000 mg. how many pills would you want a dosage of one gram?
Perhaps a chemical imbalance or vitamin deficiency, see a doctor.
1 gram is equal to 1000 mg, so it would take 8 pills.
yes, if its serious I would talk to your doctor.
Unless you are being tested for STD's, it is best to have had at least a light meal before blood testing. You should not take diet pills before a health procedure unless directed by a doctor. You should inform your doctor about any pills you may be taking, even vitamins and especially diet pills.
30 minutes
Assuming you mean 500mg not 5000 - you would need two tablets for a 1 gram dose.
I just started taking a Men's On-A-Day Multivitamin recently without realizing that I should ask my Doctor about it first, and i also take Prozac. I guess it's fine. I haven't noticed anything different, but i will post what my Doctor says as soon as i ask.
2 houers
So he knows you are taking them as directed (not more or less).
Your question depends upon what kind of natural vitamin D you are talking about and what kind of vitamin D pills you are talking about. There are two kinds of natural Vitamin D. 1)Sunshine is the best and most efficient way to get your Vitamin D. If you are fair skinned, you can make up to 20,000 IU of Vitamin D in one half hour of full body exposure. A feedback loop prevents you from EVER overdosing on Vitamin D from sunshine. 2) Natural Vitamin D is present in only a few foods - fatty fish and sun exposed mushrooms being the only real significant sources. There is no real difference between natural food source vitamin D and synthetic pills. The only difference is that it would be next to impossible to overdose on food sourced vitamin D. The answer to the question of synthetic Vitamin D pills, is that there are 2 kinds. Vitamin D2 is the most common kind, and the only kind found in prescription Vitamin D pills and shots. Some researchers claim that Vitamin D2 should not be used for supplementation or enrichment of foods due to its decreased potentcy. Vitamin D3 is less common in supplements, but is absorbed much better and has a longer half-life, making it the clear winner for human supplementation
If you have a problem with your sleep you can drink sleeping pills. I would suggest you contact your doctor.
