If you could take plants to Mars without them dying, it would help making Mars a planet that can support an ecosystem. Plants produce Oxygen which is crucial for animal survival (this includes humans, too, because technically humans are a type of animal). If Mars could successfully support an ecosystem, we could colonize it, which would help resolve issues with overpopulation.
Mars is a little over half the size of Earth.
Plants cannot grow on Mars because the planet lacks the necessary atmosphere, water, and suitable temperature to support plant life. The high levels of radiation, low air pressure, and lack of organic nutrients in the soil also make it challenging for plants to survive on Mars.
Water, a denser atmosphere with carbon dioxide, and warmer weather.
It depends on where Earth and Mars are in their orbits. Since Mars takes longer to orbit the sun than Earth does the distance between the two planets varies considerably. When Earth and Mars are closest a beam of light will take about 4 minutes to reach Mars from Earth. When they are farthest (on opposite sides of the sun) a bean of light would take about 12 minutes.
at 6o mph 4,052 years
it would take at least 197.456 hours to get to mars from earth
It would take 24 hours and 37 minuets for mars to rotate once. It would take 687 days for mars to rotate around the sun. -Rachel Hagara
the soil on mars is infertile
A toilet.
Mars needs water and oxyegen. It would probably need some soil for plants, and some animals.
Yes it would take 3 years to get to mars, or less at the right timing when mars is close to earth
It would take nine months.
The nearest Mars gets to the Earth is 56 million kilometres. At 60 mph it would take 66.2 years to get to Mars in a straight line. At its furthest, Mars is more than 7 time as far so a straight line journey would take around 475 years.
Mars is 206,655,215 km from Earth at its closest (Perihelion). Walking at 3.2kph, the trip would take 7,367 years, 3 months.
Mars is a little over half the size of Earth.
no. Mars' surface has no liquid water, and nearly no nutrients in the soil. Also, the average day temperature is -14 degrees so no plants would be able to grow there. Also, the amount of atmospheric pressure on mars would mean breathing, even if there was oxygen would be incredibly hard
Mars is more of a butterscotch color than red.It would take about six months to get to mars in a spaceship.
