Probably because you are either drawing too much current or you have a ground fault. If your ground fault breaker is tripping, or if you have a ground fault receptacle is tripping then you have too much circulating current through your neutral. There are many factors to consider there.

What would cause a circuit breaker heating element to trip off?

There are two conditions that would cause a breaker to trip off. One is an overload of the circuit and the other is a short circuit on the circuit. The heating element within the breaker is what monitors for circuit overloads.

What would happenif you put an 8 amp circuit-breaker in a power circuit?

The circuit would be protected up to 8 amps before the breaker would trip. Any more that 8 amps and the circuit would open and shut the circuit off.

Will a circuit breaker give off less amperage?

A circuit breaker does not give off amperage. A circuit breaker allows a flow of current up to the rating of the breaker. Any current higher than that of the breaker's rating will open the breaker's contacts and stop the flow of current.

What device is used for turning a circuit on or off?

Can wires be disconnected from a circuit breaker and be capped and lefted in the circuit breaker panel box?

Yes. It's totally fine just tuck them out of the way and cap off separately. It would be impossible to pull that wire out as its probably stapled off inside the wall

Why does an inground hayward pool pump keep shutting off?

How do you reset a circuit breaker?

Most automotive circuit breakers reset themselves after they cool off. Some bigger trucks use circuit breakers that are reset manually. They have a button you push in to reset the breaker after it has cooled off.

Do you have a 15 0r 20 amp circuit?

Go to your distribution panel and shut off the breaker that you think is the circuit in question. If the circuit becomes de-energized then the breaker you just turned off feeds that circuit. Look on the handle of the breaker and the number you see is the amperage of that circuit. <<>> Determination of a 15 or 20 Ampere circuit is normally indicated by a combination of a 20A breaker and a 20A dedicated outlet. A 15A circuit normally has multiple outlets; not typical in a 20A circuit.
