Usually 24 hours and they need to be wrapped and sealed either by a plastic dish or saran wrap--aluminum foil can turn them dark faster--so will air--REFRIGERATE!!!

As in cans, which are metal, they are conductors of heat. So heat penetrates easier to the liquid thus making the drink to loose it's coldness faster. So my bet is that drinks stay cooler in a bottle.
~Ceppwo The purpose of plastic wrap and aluminum foil is for food, it helps the food to stay good, without the plastic wrap and aluminum foil, it would be harder for us to keep it good, and with out it, the food would mold faster . . . so there's your answer:)

An ice cube wrapped in black cloth would probably melt first because the black cloth would be more conducive to absorbing heat from the surroundings while the aluminum foil would be more prone to reflecting it.
