Older sister in Chinese characters is 姐姐(Jiejie).
Chinese has different words for sister depending on whether it is an older sister or a younger sister being talked about. Older sister is 姐姐. Sometimes it is also written 姊姊. They are pronounced the same way, though. In Hanyu Pinyin, the pronunciation is "jie3jie3." In Gwoyeu Romatzyh, the pronunciation is "jieejiee."
