Most likely - Go to veteranaid.org and look under VA Aid and Attendance Benefit. My mother is also the spouse of a deceased veteran and, although it does take a while to get this benefit (about 6 months after application, if you do it correctly), they will pay you retroactive to the time to apply for aid. She receives just under $1000 per month for assisted living.
