They had indoor commodes. They were beautiful pieces of furniture. There was a lid on it. It looked like a bench. It even had a seat similar to our toilet seats. The excrement's were collected in large china bowls or metal bowls. A servant would have to empty it in the outhouse and clean it. It they did not have any servants they had the displeasure of fiddling with it themselves.

Mostly they opened up the window and chucked it out onto the street. The lower classes didn't have the luxury of a servant or an indoor commode. Most people used the "privie" or plain chamber pot.

wee comes out before poo does. An explanation for this is that we refer to wee as number 1 and poo as number 2. 1 comes before 2 therefore giving you an explanation. It isn't abnormal if poo comes first though.
