a penny
A Coin?
A Penny. people think its a snake but they can be other colours as well so a penny is the more likely answer :)
A heavenly body with a fiery tail is called a comet. Comets are icy bodies that heat up and release gas and dust as they approach the Sun, creating a glowing tail that can be seen from Earth.
Comets are the celestial bodies that appear in the sky at regular but long intervals and have a tail. This tail forms as a comet gets closer to the sun, causing ice and dust to vaporize and stream away from the comet, creating a bright extended tail.
A coin has a head and a tail but no body!
6" = head 6"+n/a = Tail Other half of body is the remainder of the tail minus the head. I'd say 24 inches
The head weight was 9 ounces. The body weight was 27 ounces. The tail weight was 9 ounces.
no alphabet has head n tail but not a body. so this question is technically wrong. the right question is "what is the thing that has a head n tail but doesn't have a body?" so answer it.. chao

That sounds like the description of a comet. However, please note that comets ONLY have a tail when they are close to the Sun. During most of their orbit, they are too far away from the Sun to have a tail.
