"Hoshi" is Japanese for star. In Japanese language there is no difference between a singular and a plural. So star and stars translation is the same = hoshi.
星火 Hoshi-hi
star is hoshi but i don't think you can say 'starry'.... Try using Romji instead (bassicly Japanese with a o at the end of the English word - Hearto (HAATO)).
'Hoshi' means "star." "Hoshii" means 'want (a noun).'The word 'hoshi' may also be added to the end of a word to kind of mean 'dried' or 'cured', as seen in the word 'umeboshi' which means 'pickled/cured plum' in Japanese. The 'h' becomes voiced and turns into a 'b' in this word.
星影 【ほしかげ】 hoshi raito. hoshi means star and raito means light.-----------------Hoshiakari.Raito is the Japanese pronunciation of the English word "Light" while it could be used it wouldn't normally be.
