7 = nana, or shichi. When counting above ten, people, etc. however, regardless of where you are from, it is proper to use "shichi" instead.

Ex: Juushichi = 17

*A = pronounced as in father. I = pronounced like "ee"

*The "i" is sometimes left unvoiced, which is difficult to explain if you are not familiar with Japanese pronunciation.
