There are a few different ways to say "my name is..." in Japanese. The most common are:

• ・・・と申します (・・・to moushimasu) - most polite
• ・・・といいます (・・・to iimasu)
• [私の]名前は・・・です ([watashi no] namae wa・・・desu)
• [私は]・・・です ([watashi wa]・・・desu)
• ・・・だ (・・・da) - most casual

"my name is"= watashi no namae WA [enter name here] desu.

If you were Japanese you would normally say simply ...desu - です.

However the mistake most commonly made when translating from English to Japanese is to look for word equivalents rather than natural phrase replacements.

Hence the overly common, and while not incorrect, overwrought and overly self-important sounding 'watashiha ... desu' - 私は 。。。です。

The one advantage to this structure is that a Japanese speaker unaware that the foreigner they're talking to speaks Japanese gets to hear a few more words to establish which language is being used.

If you've already been speaking in Japanese then it's perfectly natural to simply say 'Mathew desu, Mark desu, Luke desu, John desu.
Want to make it a little more formal, you can go for -degozaimasu - でございます。
