The phrase 'tout de la fruit' may mean Everything from the fruit, or Everything about the fruit. In the word-by-word translation, the noun 'tout' means 'everything'. The preposition means 'from, of''. The definite article 'la' means 'the'. And the noun 'fruit' means 'fruit'. The phrase may be used as a saying that's scientifically true, or that has cultural and religious implications. In terms of science, the continuation of fruiting vegetation rests upon the fruit, in which are the product to be eaten, processed or sold; and the seed by which are the makings of the next generation. In terms of the Christian path through the universe, and to eternal life, everything traces back to Adam and Eve opting for the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

This maybe the correct linguistic answer. Although, the cultural answer is that this is the phrase that Joey Tribbiani from Friends says when he's unsuccessfully trying to learn French from Phoebe. We wouldn't want that reference to get lost to time!
