Bonswa is the Haïtian Creole (Kreyol Ayisyen) equivalent to the French, "Bon soir". Literally, it means "Good Afternoon", but in Ayiti or Haïti, it would also cover the evening and night. Before noon, one would say, "Bonjou" (French: Bon Jour) or "Good Day"
