Katerina is a common name in eastern Europe, mostly seen in the Orthodox religion. Other countries use the name too, but like i said mostly seen in eastern Europe like : Greece, Russia, Romania, Chekz, etc. Katerina means "Pure, Purity,Clear, Clean. (Depends on which country you go to it will have different meanings but always along the lines of purity.) Katerina is an ancient Greek name but was written Ekaterini. I know the Russians sometimes use Ekaterina. But in modern times you're most likely going to see Katerina. Katerina is a buitifuname.
