According to Wikipedia, "Dizonis a Filipino surname believed to have originated from the Spanish surname Izón." However, a quick search of Izon will provide a history of the English surname Izon (see Amazon for a book titled The Izon Name in History) or the Izon coat of arms. Another search, for d' Izon, will provide links to a place in Aquitane, France. D' Izon is the shortened form of "of Izon." What does this all mean? Who knows? I'm still researching it, but that's what I've found so far.
