Akin to, "word", in everyday American lingo. Afro Cuban- practically all Cubans use it a few times on there life.

Very Cuban expression of. West African origin. That's all I know.

I am Cuban American that grew up

In a very ethnic/ Hispanic area- that's how I heard it used. It is said to be of very old language an origin- but not sure. I am not a linguist. I have enough problems speaking English and/ or Spanish
