There is no specific answer for this. All modern languages are a result of an evolutionary process. Spanish as we know it derived mostly from Latin. The Roman Empire held the Iberian peninsula for several hundred years, until it's collapse in the 5th century AD. Portions of the empire became isolated, and regional dialects became more and more pronounced. In the 8th century, the peninsula was conquered by the Moors, who spoke an archaic form of Arabic. They held what is now Spain for almost 800 years, so a great deal of modern spanish language and culture is derived form the Arab influence.
