Walton first sees a gigantic man-like figure over 8 feet tall dashing throw the snow on a dog sled. Then afterward sees a man on a dog sled almost dyeing from exhaustion chasing the first figure. Walton take aboard the second man and we find out it is Victor Frankenstein. Therefore the first figure that Walton sees is Victor Frankenstein's Monster whom Victor was chasing.
I think it might be the creature that Victor made. I'm not positive, though.
Captain Robert Walton
There is a brief encounter on the shore of a small lake in Switzerland but the first time they really get together and have a true discussion is on the Mer de Galce (Sea of Ice) the great Ice Field in the Swiss Alps.

Captain Robert Walton
Walton does develop great affection for Frankenstein. but one of brotherly love. Frankenstein poses as a gift to Walton from god in the sense that Frankenstein helps Walton realise that his obsession with discovering the magnetic north pole, shouldn't be something to take over his life and cloud his sense of rationality. i believe that Walton develops a feeling of gratitude towards Frankenstein for giving him insight to the place where he possibly could have ended up if he let himself be a slave to his passions.
Walton and his crew see a gigantic figure (the Creature) driving a dogsled across the frozen sea. This sight is strange as it is unexpected and adds to the mysterious and eerie atmosphere of the story.
This is his first sighting of the creature after its creation.

Sam Walton died April 5, 1992 (aged 74) ; see relevant link .
I am not sure, though I did see him on a poster.
Felix was most delighted to see Safie.
Sam Walton's religious affiliation was Presbyterian, but no additional information as to what role this played in his life (see related link).
I would like to see him to do another Walton series, playing the grandfather to the Walton children, never wanted to see it end. Bring back the whole bunch and all the other characters. Such a wholesome show....today's series or sit coms do not compare.
