When a fault occurs in the electric bus (electric lines and intersections) due to short circuit between the phases or between 1 or more phase and ground, the current value mounts up to a very high value, which is known as bus fault current.
This high value of current may cause damages to the Transformers and could also rupture the other electric lines connected to the bus.
busbar sizing & calculation
The output from a utility generator is low-voltage and very high current (later stepped up to a high voltage for transmission). The high current requires very large conductors, and busbars enclosed in a bus-duct are the most practical way to accomplish this. Some generating systems also circulate coolant through the bus-duct to keep the bus bars from overheating.
We can perform stability test on restricted earth fault by following these steps :- 1 - choose one phase of primary windings like phase R and make short circuit connection between phase R before CT ,and N after CT . 2 - Prepare primary injection current equipment and connect it's first cable on phase R after CT , and its second cable at any earthed conductor near Neutral . 3 - start injection current up to 100 AMP , if the relay isn't trip , this mean the system is stable ,Also if the relay operate which mean there is a fault in connections which must be modified . with best wishes ... its a device that checks the cable for crosswiring or short end. it also has a built in TDR ( Time domain Reflector ) wich tells you where the problem is and how long the cable is etc. It usally has an F connector and a RJ45 plugg.
There are two important different parameters as far as the disconnection/connection of Electrical utilities is concerned.- Breaking capacity.- Making Capacity. In simple way the Load Break Switch used to cut off healthy circuits or to break / disconnect the load. As a precaution, normally the LBS / Isolator are to be switched on under no load, the connected load to be utilized after switching on the Isolator. This why it has no making capacity. Circuit Breakers are intended to operate under unnormal conditions in order to clear the fault & to isolate the defective circuits protecting its associated electrical equipment, therefore breaking and making capacities are considered as the most important criteria as far Circuit breaker are concerned.
Controller area network(can) data bus, high speed bus(-) shorted to data bus(+) in short you have a fault in ur system
Z bus is using in fault analysis of power system..it represents how much impedance the network offers to the fault current.lower the impedence larger the fault current
The star bus topology has the most fault tolerance.
The fault if a school bus gets into a wreck on icy roads would be determined by the police officers who investigate the accident. If there was any fault of the school district, it would be decided in court.
P202C-004 = CAN BUS signal from EIS controller,CAN BUS signal error
The item for which the LED indicates is in a fault condition. Since there exist many brands of PLCs, there are many conditions indicated such as BUS FAULT, SYSTEM FAULT, I/O FAULT, COMMUNICATION FAULT, and many others.
Star and Bus
Protection of busbars is mainly done using differential relays. These relays sense current flowing into the bus and current flowing out of the bus. If current in != current flowing out, the relay assumes there is a fault on the bus and trips breakers to isolate the bus.
Bus section is a device is used to separating a bus into two. So if got any fault in right hand side just open the circuit breaker in the bus section and do maintenance without shut down the whole thing.
A bus coupler is generally a circuit breaker which helps in connecting one bus to another thereby enabling uninterrupted supply in the event of fault in one bus.Switch over from one bus to another can be done either in auto or manual mode.
the car that was in the bus stop of course...
Mesh topology- a cable at fault not affect others. Ring topology- a cable at fault, only affect side by side, If main cable at fault ,whole system shut down. Star topology- a cable at fault, others are not affected. If Hub at fault, whole system shut down. Bus topology- main cable at fault, system will shut down. a cable at fault, will not affect others.
