First you already have noticed that there is some type of problem that needs possible correction; that means you have a general knowledge of the apparatus and the specifications. I would check to assure that there aren't some amended spec's issued. Check with the original contractor/installer and give them your concerns. Notify your immediate supervisor to assure they are aware of your observations. Note: If there is a safety concern, expedite your efforts; warn operators if applicable.

∙ 10y agoI have no mechanical ability. If it is the incorrect part don't use it. It could cause damage to what ever you are trying to install on. Also another suggestion talk to the manufacturer and see what they say. Thats all I can think of.

This can only be possible if the oil formation is not too far offshore.

Do not connect the equipment as it might have to be returned to the manufacturer for the correct equipment.
