Not really. They may make nice keyboards, but a keyboard maker is NOT a good guitar maker. I'd suggest a more trusted brand, like Fender or Gibson.
It is all a matter of personal preference. For the price, Yamaha is an excellent guitar. I own over 50 Yamaha acoustics from the early red labels to more recent ones. I also own Martins, a Gibson, a Taylor, a couple of Fenders, and a selection of hand made Guitars. I don't know who wrote the above answer, but Yamaha is a very trusted name in acoustic guitars. The early red labels are excellent work horse guitars as well as prized collectors. Some of the recent ones I own are outstanding guitars. You can spend a little and get a laminated wood guitar that may be iffy on sound. Or you can spend a little more and get a solid wood guitar that will have a better, stronger sound. If name means more to you than sound, then get one of the composite Martins that have so-so sound. My recommendation is to look around and play different guitars and see what strikes your ear. Don't get hung up on name brands as the only "good" guitars.
I think Yamaha FG730S guitar is the best for nowadays.

For a steel strung guitar you can't go wrong with something by Yamaha such as the F310. My first guitar was a Yamaha and I played it for twelve years before I upgraded. Fender do some nice beginners instruments too. For preference get into a guitar shop rather than buying from the web. You'll get to try the guitar out and have someone to answer your questions.
The Yamaha silent guitar is not just a standard guitar. The silent guitar is designed so musicians can play anytime, anywhere. It is used to travel and go anywhere.
