Seals are killed for food, clothing, leather, oil, and handicrafts. Seals are killed painlessly. They are not left to choke in blood. That person is biased.the person that wrote the passage above is a hypocrite. you have not researched deeply into how the seals are actually killed.

== == It's a 'man thang!' LOL Although there are some women that do go hunting. I'm against it personally, but if hunters like to hunt then so be it and that's their bag. When you couldn't buy meat at stores and during the pioneer days you had to hunt your own meat, but humans in most parts of the world don't have too any longer. I feel that humans should put on the old loin cloth with a spear or bow and arrow and give the animals an equal chance. Now they go out with telescopic rifles, night binoculars, etc. The pros of hunting are that some areas have too many moose, deer or bear and hunting keeps the species to a balance. So I'm told, but then again it was humans that unbalanced nature in the first place and got rid of too many of the predators of these animals such as the wolf. Usually, unless on your own property, hunting requires a license. The money raised by the license fees helps pay for game wardens and the management of the animals to keep the population at sustainable levels without taxing everyone. There is normally a limit to the number of animals that can be harvested in a season based on the current population. Spending time with nature and killing your own dinner in an individual perk. Contrary to popular belief, it's not as easy as shooting fish in a barrel.
