I started playing bass when I was in Sixth Grade. Since then I have went through 3 different bass sizes. I started out at 4ft 5in with a quarter size bass. When I became taller I switched to a half-size bass which I suggest you use. A half-size should do the job but you might want to consider a quarter-size (they are kinda hard to find though). If you are really 4ft 10ft though I suggest an octobass. Maybe you can use it as a violin ;).
