Saltwater Fish are not better than freshwater. They are simply different and sometimes even the same. A few types of fish can become adapted to both such as Mollies. It's a matter of preference, budget and aquarium experience on either side.

Tropical freshwater fish are fish from the tropics (water temperature around 78-80F) that live in lakes and rivers, instead of the salty ocean.
They live in the sea and the sea is SALTY.
Depending on if the fish lives in fresh or salty water they may urinate a lot (if they live in freshwater) or living in a salty environment can make them pee less but it's very concentrated.
Redfish are fresh water

It is likely that stenohaline freshwater fish would die. Others with better osmoregulatory abilities might be able to survive.

Because saltwater fish can only breathe in saltwater (as in the ocean) and freshwater fish can only breathe in freshwater (as in tap water.)
Piranhas are freshwater fish, living in the Amazon basin.Actually they are both freshwater and salt.... Mostly freshwater though!
