Pentatuch refers to the first 5 volumes (books) of the Old Testament written by Moses and they are:

  1. Genesis
  2. Exodus
  3. Leviticus
  4. Numbers
  5. Deuteronomy

The word pentatuch comes from two Greek words.

  • Pente = meaning 5
  • Teuchos = meaning volumes (books)
