Autism friendly screenings are where a cinema shows films in an environment that is not detrimental to an Autistic persons well-being. Autistic people have sensory issues so things such as bright lights or noise can be uncomfortable or painful - cinemas thus reduce volume and lights in the cinema during autism friendly screenings so that they're more accessible for Autistic people.

The cinemas will also often skip the previews, allow people to walk around if they need to, and allows people to take in their own food (as Autistic people may have dietary requirements or only be able to eat certain foods due to sensory issues).

Are there prenatal test for autism?

No, fortunately there is no pre-natal screening for autism. Some organisations, such as Autism Speaks, are aiming to bring about pre-natal screening in an attempt to stop Autistic people being born. As it is we don't know fully the causes of autism to be able to detect it outside of diagnosis from behaviour.

No, Autism cannot be detected by ultrasound and hopefully pre-natal screening for Autism will not be developed during the time that ableism still exists against Autistic people. Autism can only be diagnosed through assessment by a trained professional who assesses behaviour.

There is a chance, seeing as it is in his genes/blood, but probably not a big chance though.

Can you cure Autism ?

There is no cure for autism, and hopefully there never will be.Autism is a neurological difference, a variation in human beings just like race. The only way to 'cure' autism would be to eradicate Autistic people, like suggesting to eradicate African-American people this would be highly unethical and would be considered eugenics. Many people are trying to 'cure' autism via pre-natal screening and genetic modification, hopefully this doesn't happen.

Does Bill Gates autism?
