ANSWER:
That's a good question, even though most of us wasn't born then. Without going through history, if I'm not mistaken the so called "mistress" was the first woman he knew and fell in love later on in life, but it didn't happened because of his family wanting him to marry someone that they approved. I will not call the first woman he knew his mistress. The story of her love was sacrifice because of his family..

Shakespeare is a well known and famous man during his time. The only way we can find out if he was unfaithful is to read his biography.
Well, you can read biography if you want, but face the facts; he's a man, he's famous, and he's a poet...A LADYSMAN... of course he was unfaithful, any guys who are raeding...if you were famous and could have any, and every girl, wouldn't you?! Just sayin
yes he did to be honest he married Anne Hathaway in 1582 and they had three children Susanna and two twins Hamnet and Judith they gave birth to Susanna in 1606 and Hamnet and Judith in 1585 and Hamnet and Judith are two boys
We'll never know for sure. One man claimed or may have claimed to be Shakespeare's illegitimate son, although he may have meant godson or even inspiration. If that were true then this would be a case of an extramarital affair. It has also been suggested that his death may have been the result of treatment for syphilis which he picked up from prostitutes. Working where he did, and being as far from home as he was, he may well have been involved with prostitutes, but we have no proof.
He had an affair with Annam Whateley at the same time he was having an affair with Anne Hathaway. There were other affairs. Some of the sonnets may have been written to married women and there was speculation that there may have been homosexual affairs.

Maybe nobody. Thomas Betterton said that he was Shakespeare's bastard son, so in that case it would be Betterton's mother. But most people think that Betterton was lying to make himself look more important.
Not that anyone knows of, and Shakespeare isn't telling. The movie Shakespeare in Love is fictional.

The rhyme scheme of Shakespeare's Sonnet 130, "My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun," is ababcdcdefefgg.
Shakespeare had three children with his wife, Anne Hathaway Shakespeare. If he had a child with his mistress, the Dark Lady, then that would have been the fourth.
Certainly, she was the wife or mistress of one William Shakespeare.

As with most males, Shakespeare could not bear children, but his wife bore three, and his alleged mistress may have borne one.
Shakespeare. It's the first line of his Sonnet 130.
