I assume you're talking about Rebecca Nurse. She was accused of spiritually murdering seven children of her husband's neighbor and enemy, Mrs. Putnam, all of whom died suddenly after birth. Well the Putnam's have lost all of their children and only have Ruth left and the Nurse's have had nine health children. Also that Rebecca had said that the kids were just playing around that they will grow out of their foolish games but the Putnams wanted to believe that it was witchcraft that has gotten the kids. So they both don't like each other presence.
