They are similair because of the fact that they both want what's best for Juliet. This is for Juliet to marry Paris. The two think that he is a good match for her, and she is behind in her life. When Lady Capulet was Juliet's age she had already gave birth to her. Lastly, both of these women love Juliet and care deeply for her. They want her to be happy, and have a promising future.
The very first line of Romeo and Juliet- Two households both alike in dignity in fair Verona. They were both proud upper class families in the same city- and did not like each other. Except that Romeo and Juliet liked each other- and that is where our story goes...
Lots of differences. Mrs. Capulet is richer, and doesn't have to work a job like the nurse does. Mrs. C comes from a classier family too. The nurse is a widow, and is childless also as her daughter Susan died. Mrs. C is married and her daughter is still alive, at the start of the play. However, the Nurse knows Juliet pretty well, whereas Mrs. C doesn't know her very well at all. And, although the Nurse doesn't look on marriage so much as a commitment as an excuse to have a roll in the hay, she is still a much nicer woman than Juliet's mother.
