Even Choruses and Prologues are embodied by actors who are playing that part, not the part of Shakespeare the writer. But the sonnets are another thing. When in Sonnet 50 Shakespeare writes "How heavy do I journey on the way", the word "I" is not meant to be spoken by an actor, and can only be taken as being the voice of Shakespeare the writer.
