You can't tell, everybody has different opinions. Like, personally I don't like Rhihana - Umbrella (The Song) and all her dance moves, BUT it came tops on the charts, and everybody liked it, so everybody has different opinions.

But on the other hand you can tell, if you sing and dance in front other people they might say "you're crap" or "you're so good" ... so really, it's their own opinion. You may take that to heart if you got one insult: but that's just one opinion. At least someone liked your singing and dancing!

For instance, if you have your dancing video-recorded doing a couple of different styles or tempos ... and then, in your own privacy, critically analyse yourself and see if you think you could improve and if you have potential.

Likewise - singing: Tape yourself doing 2 or 3 different songs, and see if any style of music or singing suits you, or even, if you really 'have a voice'.

You simpily nneed to train to be a good dancer. Just join dancing clubs or make up one of your own clubs with a few friends. Firstly start with a easy tro follow warm up (like traffic lights) to get your mucels ready for the exersize ahead. Practice each day or week things like handstands, gambowls (forwards or backwards), cartwheels and unusual jumps (add your own personal touch to make them look a little more like dance moves). You might get thesee tricks straight away or you may have to have a little pacience. But don't give up suddenly, just keep on practiseing, you know what they say, 'practise makes perfect'! But never ever forget to do a cool down before finishing your dancing session. It is a good idea to wear baggy clothes when doing dancing and to tie your hair up. Wear the baggy clothes to keep you cool and not sweaty and keep your hair tied up incase it gets in the way or makes your face ans neck extreamly sweaty. If your school or gym does not do a dancing session, why not ask? They may even let you run this club! Once you have lernt all theese basic moves start learning more complex moves like the splits, lifts, ans fasinating spins. Then start picking up transizions to make it look like a professional routeen. Next pick some music for your dance and start thinking about placing of the members of your team. Once you have arranged all of the members in your team, start thinking about costumes. All think off a price range (30 to40 pounds each). Think about the lyrics to the music. You are a dancer if you are able to really feel the music. It should flow through your body and you will almost instinctivly know which way to move, and how to move. Some people are very good at lyrical (a type of dance that involves a good feel for the flow of the music) and others are good at hip-hop or funk, which involves more of a "pop-n'-lock" movement.
