What did Prometheus's sister-in-law bring to the Earth?

Prometheus's sister in law was Pandora, who brought with her a box containing all the 'evils of man' in it. She opened the box out of curiosity releasing everything except hope.

How is Frankenstein compared with the modern Prometheus?

Prometheus was one who, in Greek mythology, stole fire from the gods and gave it to man. As punishment for his misdeeds, Zeus, chained Prometheus to a rock and sentenced him to have his innards pecked out everyday by vultures. Dr. Frankenstein is a fictional character in Mary Shelley's novel, Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus. In the novel, the doctor creates life using ground-breaking technology and methodology. His experiments climax when he reanimates a dead man, which he had stitched together from several corpses of other dead men. Not moments after his creature had come to life, Frankenstein was filled with hate and disgust for his 'son'. Frankenstein was essentially 'punished'. He had stolen a gift of the gods -in this case life, as opposed to fire- and now had to have his innards eaten out, so to speak. His punishment was that he hated his own creation, which he thought he would love unconditionally. Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus is a fantastic novel that can be seen as a trial of the soul, a political allegory, an existential work, representation of Greek mythology and so forth, but, what it ultimately tells the reader is a tale about human nature and discovering who you are and what your purpose is on Earth. Hope this helps!

When Prometheus opened the jar what was one good thing that came out?

Pandora was the one who opened the jar, and the good thing that came out was hope.

Why was hope the only thing left in Pandoras' box?

When Pandora accidentally let out all the evils of the world upon mankind, she shut the box before Hope could escape. Also, did you know that Zeus knew that Pandora couldn't resist opening the box? He gave it to her because Pandora was Prometheus' sister. He was basically punishing their family for what Prometheus did (bring fire to the humans)

How does the Pandora's box story end?

The pandora's box myth ends by Pandora opening the box that had been guarded by Prometheus (who was then nailed down on a mountain for stealing fire for humans), and then his brother Epimetheus, the husband of Pandora, and releasing envy, crime, hate and disease. Luckily, Prometheus had also shut hope into the box. If not for hope, the world would have been a world of depression and darkness.

What did Pandora release?

She released all evil and bad things such as wasps, dragonflies, danger, hatred, etc. which Prometheus, god of forethought, had given to his brother, Epimethius, who had left and forgotten to lock the box up. Pandora was curious and opened it. But Prometheus wasn't stupid; he had also locked up hope in this box.

How Prometheus brought us the gift of fire?

Prometheus stole fire from Mount Olympus and brought it down to Earth and gave it to man. He then taught man to cook, forge metals, and other useful skills that made civilization what it is today. When Zeus found out, he chained Prometheus to a mountain and had a vulture eat Prometheus's liver every day. Zeus also decided to punish man by making Pandora, the first woman. She was given a box. She was ADHD so she opened it, releasing all bad things to mankind. Only Hope was left in the box.

Why the strands in DNA are named as 3' and 5?

3' and 5' refer to the ends of a strand. The 3' end will have the 3rd carbon on the deoxyribose sugar unbound. The 5' end will have the 5th carbon on the deoxyribose sugar unbound. As chains are antiparralel in the DNa duplex 5' of one strand will be next to 3' of the other. Hope that helps

What is the theme of stealing fire from Zeus?

The theme of Stealing Fire from Zeus/Jupiter is Prometheus, A Titan, stole fire from Zeus/Jupiter to give to humans. Prometheus stands for human progress against the forces of nature. We learn close to the beginning that he has given humanity the gifts of fire and hope. Does the greek god Prometheus have a power?

I would believe that he did. Prometheus, as far as I know it, was a Titan, not a god, but he did have the power of forethought. Not just any normal forethought like humans SHOULD have, but he could basically see every outcome of an action. I think that'd be pretty cool and is classified as a power because he could do A LOT of things with that. Hope this helps in any way! :)
