The ammount of calories burnt depends on the type of dancing and the intensity too. Tap and hip-hop are good for calorie buring, both about 200-800 burnt per hour thus 600-2,400 for 3 hours. But these are not very good for things other than getting strong and buringin calories, Ballet is on the other hand good for both of those and flexibility, balance and posture/form.
