Well, the initial fee for the pagent is $440. If you can't afford this, they offer many ways to get sponsors. You also have to buy the production number outfit for $40. In addition, you will need an interview outfit (most people wear suites) and a formal wear floor-length dress. They will both cost you about $100. Also, there are optional contests at the pagent that cost an additional $50 each. They include actress, talant, spokesmodel, photogenic, casual wear etc. You will also have to pay to stay in the Hyatt hotel for at least one night. There is a discount through NAMiss, but It will still cost you at least $100 for two people. Al-in-all, with 2 optional contests, it will cost you about $880. P.S. I am pretty sure I am going to do National American Miss Ohio Jr. Teen. The cost is a huge consideration and the reason I might not do it. If you want to get your money's worth out of it, my advice would be to do your research and practice practice practice, so you can win something. Generally, 100-200 girls participate in each age group, so the most important thing is to stand out with your personal introuction and your personality!!! Good luck if you decide to do it!! :)
The National American Miss pageant is not a scam, though it can be costly and participants are encouraged to earn the money to pay them.
The website doesn't tell you this up front. It costs $440. I heard the price may be going up too. Girls who have won before or who have been the previous year get a half price discount, but you have to pay the whole amount if you are new.
They don't pay the infant, they pay the parents. Obviously it will bebefit the child in someway in the future, but they usally pay in 100 dollar bonds depending on what it is really.
Yes it is. I have participated in it, and I won! (: It is a legitimate company, however there is a 495$ sponsorship fee (you have to get people or businesses to sponsor, or pay you, to be in the pageant). I met one of my best friends at this pageant, I won a title, and an all - expense paid trip to Orlando!
It usually (if it is a national commercial) pays 20,000 or so, and plus you make residuals, which are checks for every time they renew the commercial for airing it again.

The amount that Plato's Closet pays for Miss Me jeans can vary based on the condition, style, and demand for the specific item. It's best to visit your local store for an accurate quote.

Most of the soldiers were volunteers during the Revolution. They pretty much had to pay for their own food and were not given regular pay.
