He reported the deed to his fellow conspirator and wife, Lady Macbeth [b. c. 1015]. He was unhinged by the bloodied corpses and the bloodied crime scene. Particularly was he troubled by his inability to say 'amen' to the guards' prayers before being stabbed to death. Macbeth's Lady told him to stop thinking or go crazy [Lines 13-14].
Macbeth told that Fleance should also be assassinated along with his father.
Strictly speaking, it is in act 1 scene 1 where the witches say "Upon the heath/ There to meet with Macbeth."From this we know that Macbeth is on a heath. It's not much information but it is the first we get.

Lady Macbeth advised Macbeth to ignore his conscience and continue with their plan to kill King Duncan, even if he could not say amen after his prayers. She believed that their ambition was more important than moral guilt.
Lady Macbeth advised Macbeth not to say "amen" after committing the murder because it would make their deed more real and harder to go through with. She believed it would be better to keep their guilt hidden by not acknowledging it through prayer.
