No it is just a way for Broadway to find dancers

ANSWER:

The International Performing Arts Academy has little to do with dancing and I cannot name anyone on Broadway who got a job because of this company. It's hard to say they're a scam, but their success rate in turning out successful actors and models is very low. The thing that concerns me is the stories about how the pressure the parents to immediately put a downpayment on their credit card, or write them a check without having the time to think. A reputable company would not pressure parents and children and tell them their opportunity will be gone if they don't do it now.

Pressure tactics like that mean you should walk away. My advice is, if you aren't in major city with acting and singing coaches, join the community theater, join the school chorus. Take lessons from the school's singing teacher and join the drama club. Study your craft. If you are in a city, take acting lessons from a reputable coach who gives showcases. As a model, watch your posture, learn how to walk down a runway by watching professional fashion shows online taken during NY's fashion week. Go to a modeling agency. This Performing Arts Academy just seems a bit off.
