Linen handkerchiefs can be more hygienic than paper handkerchiefs if properly washed and maintained, as they can be laundered at high temperatures to eliminate bacteria. However, they can also harbor germs between washes if not cleaned frequently. Paper handkerchiefs are single-use, which can reduce the risk of cross-contamination, but they may not be as environmentally friendly. Ultimately, hygiene depends on usage and maintenance practices for both types.
A handkerchief kept in the sun will dry faster than one kept in the shade. The direct sunlight increases the temperature and promotes evaporation, which helps moisture evaporate more quickly. In contrast, the shaded handkerchief will remain cooler and retain moisture longer, making the drying process slower.
Othello was just out of earshot when Iago talks to Cassio. He has told Othello that he is talking to Cassio about Desdemona but he is really talking about the woman that Cassio is really having an affair with, Bianca. In 'Othello' Iago tricks Othello by planting Desdemona's handkerchief in Cassio's room.
Firstly, the fact that Iago has told her to steal it shows he is not afraid of using others to further his plans. Secondly, the fact that he snatches it off her shows that he was using her, and his abruptness of speech contributes to the evidence about his less-than-favourable view of women. Thirdly, the fact that she backs down and leaves when he tells her to shows that he is in the driving seat. Fourthly, the fact she allows him to take it shows she feels more loyalty to him than Desdemona.
A struggling paper supply company called Dunder Mifflin. It depicted the lives of Michael, the loving, but childlike boss, Dwight, a beet farmer and the “Assistant to the Regional Manager,” Jim, the salesman who dreams of bigger things, Pam, the receptionist who is wanting to move on, Angela, the uptight Christian who loves her cats more than people, and too many more to name.
I'm trying to figure that out too! My shakespeare professor mayberry wrote it on my paper so I have to figure it out by Wednesday at six! haha let's see...usually if I just start saying possibilities I can possibly come up with the correct answer. Perhaps it is because he is speaking of sin."Now by stock and honor of my kin/to strike him dead I hold it not a sin." What does the rhyming do to that statement? It makes it more powerful, that is certain. And more deliberate. Perhaps it emphasizes Tybalt's character that he not only can be incensed to be violent, but also he deliberately plans it. It could have religious purposes, perhaps the rhyming makes it more prophetic, the Capulets are very religious so perhaps Tybalt is emphasizing his hatred toward the montagues by saying that it's okay with the God in his heart to kill Romeo, and the poetry strengthens that conviction. Score! I'm working that into my paper. Hope it helped!! -Baige :)
Paper made from linen is usually more durable, has a smoother texture, and is believed to be more environmentally friendly than paper made from wood pulp. Paper made from wood pulp is more common and cost-effective, but may not be as long-lasting or have the same quality as linen paper.
Yes, linen paper typically lasts longer than paper made from wood because it is more durable and has higher quality fibers. Linen paper is made from the flax plant, which produces long and strong fibers that contribute to its longevity and resistance to wear and tear.
The effect is that the stock of paper money out on the street does not have to be replaces as often. What would be the effect if it was made of water soluable rice paper. To be more exact, the cotton/linen blend used for US paper money is more resistant to water as well as general wear and tear compared to ordinary paper. In recent years a few countries have switched from paper to a polymer (plastic) material that is even more durable than cotton/linen paper.
Well since they don't actually make paper from linen. The term "linen" on a skid of paper refers to either the surface finish or the color, not the content. Most paper made today is buffered with sodium carbonate. About the only stock I can think of that isn't is used as mounting boards for color photographs--the buffers will change the color of the acidic dyes in color photo paper.

It is not paper from trees....It is made from cotton.
Currency paper is composed of 25% linen and 75% cotton. Red and blue synthetic fibers of various lengths are distributed evenly throughout the paper. Prior to World War I the fibers were made of silk.
US money is not printed on paper. The paper in U.S. banknotes is made of a 75% cotton and 25% linen mixture.Read more: How_many_trees_are_cut_down_annually_to_produce_US_dollar_bills
