Why was the Monty Python movie 'The Life of Brian' banned in Scotland?

Banned Monty Python Movie"The Life of Brian" was not only banned in Scotland, but other countries. The heading reads "The Right to Slander God?" as far as Christians felt. It was considered by some of the people of these countries as blasphemy (Religious Defamation." By granting the right of freedom of speech, the state was trying to protect the right to objectively criticize religious institutions and thus, refused to punish or exclude those accused of blasphemy. Legal protection was aimed more at the religious feelings of individuals. The modern cases of slandering God that the world has grappled with in the 20th and 21st centuries have mostly been related to artists who have allegedly injured the feelings of others. Usually the chosen form of their statements are understood to be as reproachful as the content.Simply put, "The Life of Brian" was making a laughing stock (thinking of it as comedy) out of God and the Crucifiction of Jesus. It was not well received in Europe at all. Good!'The Life of Brian' was NOT banned in ALL Scottish Cinemas. I know because I went to see it.

What is the significance of the poem of the righteous sufferer?

Righteousness is good and so is holiness. But there is a big difference between the two. When we begin with God we must learn righteousness, which is learning, loving and obeying God's rules. A lot of people get stuck there in major pride-of-religion. And they really, really like it. They are the Christian Cops! They believe what they have achieved is it. Period! However, the saints break the rules of righteousness. So what gives? Well, holiness is that relaxed, close fellowship with God. It let Jesus pick corn and heal on the Sabbath. It let David eat the forbidden temple show bread. Righteous people are God's servants; holy people are His friends. Righteous people can't hear God's voice very well. Holy people hearken unto the voice of the Lord, which really upsets righteous people. Righteous people are rigid, holy people flexible. Righteous people might do a wrong thing in an emergency, holy people might do the perfect and creative thing because God might tell them and they might hear instantly. Righteous people have an extremely hard time understanding how to break the chains of rigidity and become flexible with God, who may be the most flexible entity in the universe. After all, God has to deal with six or so billion of us poor creatures, right? He is of course flexible, and our stiff-necked rigidity problem is pride. Righteously proud teachers say the book of Job says we must endure trials because we can never really know God. Holy teachers say the book of Job tells us we must endure great tribulation to get rid of our rigidity and pride-of-religion so we can hear, obey and really know God.

What verse in bible is the holy grail talked about?

The Holy Grail in the Bible is related to the Rider of the white horse of revelation. The white horse rider is the grail hero. When he emerges he will win the Grail, be Crowned the Hero of modern times and fulfill the bible prophecies.Rev: 6.2 And I saw, and Behold a white horse and he that sat on him held a bow; And a crown was given unto him and he went forth conquering and to Conquer. The crown given unto him is the Grail crown and the white horse is a phenomem that has never been witnessed on earth before (but known of in Mythology). The conquering is the quest for the holy grail with an out come. The unearthing of the grail will cause widespread upheaval as the grail will shatter modern conceptions of what the real truth is."Only one man can ever win the grail, he is known in heaven by name and called to the grail by name". This refers to the location. The place where the grail is hidden is the same as the persons name. The individual who is born will not know he is the grail hero until such time in his life through suffering and patience heaven will create instances where the individual will be drawn to the grail mythology, once called the hero will conquer and the book of revelation will soon after become a phenoma for all religions and spiritualists alike.Hold steady, it's the time of the quickening and all will be revealed very, very soon.Answer:Neither the word "grail"... nor the term "holy grail" is in the Bible. It's a fanciful tale of man's design. The book of Revelation or "Apocalypse" is interpreted by Jesus Christ. It is:"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God [the Father] gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass..." (Rev.1:1).Jesus' interpretation of the "symbolic" seven seals of the "parable" that is Revelation, is explained to His servants in Matthew 24, which speaks plainly of the same "end time" global events . [there can be only ONE end time]The first seal, the "rider on the white horse" of Revelation 6, is the first thing of which Jesus warns us in Matthew 24:"...Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." (Matt.24:4-5)Nothing about a "grail" is mentioned. Jesus is warning His servants to beware of "FALSE CHRISTIANITY" [false religions]. Religious organizations of men claiming to represent Him, but which are vain satanic deceptions. If a "holy grail" were of some end time significance... Jesus would have told us plainly about it in God's Word. But it's just not there. You must seek it on your own, outside of the Bible.
