The Triumvirate fought a civil war (the Liberators' Civil War, 44-42 BC) against the forces of Brutus and Cassius, the leaders of the assassination of Caesar. Mark Antony and Octavian defeated Brutus and Cassius at the Battle of Philippi in Greece.
