Reason of Death: his appendix burst open and he never went to the hospital, and died as the result of gangreen; not the common belief that he drowned trying to perform the Chinese Water Torture Cell.

Houdini was born in Budapest, Hungary; and came from a Jewish family. His family immigrated to the United States in 1878, when Harry (Ehrich) was four years old. They first lived in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Accomplishments: Houdini is credited for inventing many different illusions, including :

Metamorphosis, Strait Jacket escape, Chinese Water Torture Cell, and Milk Can Escape.

In 1910 he bought a Bi-Plane and flew it in Astrualia.

In 1919 he became a producer/actor/stunt-man and performed in : The Grim Game, Terror Island, The Master Myster, The Man from Beyond, and Haldane of the Secret Service.
