Why didn't Romeo and Juliet simply run away?

Good question. Juliet has spent her entire life locked up in her house, being able to go out only to go to church or confession. Her trips to the confessional are the only time she has anything near freedom. For so long as the marriage is kept secret, Juliet is going to be kept under close watch. The only way for her to get out is to tell her parents that she has surrendered herself into the custody of a husband. I often wondered why, when Juliet goes to confession to get some advice from the Friar, the Friar didn't just disguise her as a nun and ship her off to Mantua. But if he did that, he would have to explain to Capulet where his daughter has gone off to. Of course, she could pretend to be a nun--that's no more dishonest than pretending to be dead. Anyway, we can assume that the friar and Juliet were reluctant to just up and tell her parents the truth because they would likely think of an easy way to deal with this Tybalt-killer and Juliet-ravisher Romeo in one go. In fact, Lady Capulet talks about poisoning him anyway, without knowing that he has secretly married her daughter. If they knew that, all the more likely that they would do Romeo in.

What is the theme of the poem old ironsides?

Pride in battle and death is a possible theme for this poem, considering the battle imagery and emphasis on a fitting location for the ship's burial.

What car was on the RMS Titantic when it sank?

I did a bit of research to find out if there were cars on the ship when she sank. The blueprints show there was a cargo hold for cars in the section of the ship that went down first, so IF there were cars they would be located in this area. No pictures show cars being loaded or on the ship. Nothing shows in shots that have been taken by the divers since 1988, so it is only a guess what could be on the ship. One would imagine that there would be an expensive model if there was one. The movie took a loose look at history and used it to make a good story of Romeo and Juliet on the Titanic so they also used other speculations to show cars on the ship.

What imagery involving sight sound and movement does homer include in the epic simile in lines 1061-1065?

In the epic simile in lines 1061-1065, Homer describes the sounds of a sledge striking wood and the movement and sight of a ship making its first launch into the sea. This imagery creates a vivid sensory experience for the reader by evoking the sounds of labour and the visual spectacle of a newly launched ship.
