If we knew more about Shakespeare's life we would know better. Shakespeare may have many affairs with either men or women, or have frequented brothels. On the other hand maybe he didn't. Although he did work as an actor it is unlikely he would have played Romeo. There is no evidence that he ever worked with Ned Alleyn or wrote on commission from Philip Henslowe.

Shakespeare in Love is strictly fiction. A nice idea but sadly not reality. The person of Viola de Lesseps is a pure fiction. Although in some respects it does convey an accurate impression of Elizabethan theatre, it should not be taken too literally. The Queen would never under any circumstances have visited a public theatre, for example.

What are the differences between the real Richard 3 and Shakespeare's Richard?

In the play, Shakespeare portrayed Richard with a deformed arm, but he didn't have this in real life. He is also made to have a hunchback-also one of Shakespeare's fantasies;). Also in the play, Shakespeare said that he killed the two Princes, though the corpses of the two boys were found at the Tower, there is no evidence that Richard III did actually have them killed. Hope this helps, sorry there's not much information:/.
