Demetrius and Lysander fall in love with Helena
Lysander and Demetrius are characters in William Shakespeare's play "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Lysander is portrayed as a rational and romantic lover who is deeply in love with Hermia. Demetrius, on the other hand, initially pursues Hermia but later falls in love with Helena due to the effects of a love potion. Lysander's love for Hermia is genuine and based on mutual affection, while Demetrius' feelings for Helena are manipulated and initially one-sided.
Part of the meaning of Midsummer Night's Dream is that love is irrational. We know that Demetrius falls in love with Helena because of a magical love-juice but there is no rational coherent reason why Helena should love him either. She just does.
Hermia loves Lysander. Lysander and Demetrius both love Hermia. Helena loves Demetrius.
Egeus prefers Demetrius over Lysander because in his opinion, Demetrius has done nothing but love Hermia, but Lysander has made her stubborn and disobedient.

But then Demetrius falls in love with Hermia and wants to marry her, Hermia still loves Lysander and does not want to marry Demetrius (Hermia's father wants Hermia to marry Demetrius). Helena still loves Demetrius. Then Lysander loves Helena who loves Demetrius who loves Hermia, Hermia still loves Lysander. Demetrius then changes his thoughts and starts to love Helena again, but Lysander is still in love with Helena. But then every thing changes as everyone goes back to who they loved in the first place; Helena -> Demetrius Demetrius -> Helena Hermia -> Lysander Lysander -> Hermia Very confusing! :)
All four of them are in love. Only Hermia and Lysander are in love with each other. Helena is in love with Demetrius but Demetrius is unfortunately in love with Hermia

Oberon realizes that Puck has put the love potion in Lysander's eyes instead of Demetrius
Helena tells Demetrius about Hermia and Lysander's plan to elope because she hopes that by revealing this information, Demetrius will love her instead of Hermia. Helena is desperate for Demetrius's affection and believes that her loyalty to him will make him realize her feelings for him.
