Houdini did many very popular tricks including:
Once Houdini told an audience that if they brought him a pair of handcuffs that he could not escape, he would give them 100 dollars. He never paid one person.
Escaping from straight-jackets from high up places. Such as cranes and tall buildings.
Another famous escape was when Houdini did the famous "Bridge Jump" into the San Fransisco Bay with a 75 pound ball and chain shackled onto his ankles and also handcuffs on his wrists.
Then there is the "Needle Trick", he swallowed many needles and then pulled the needles hooked on a string from his throat.

Harry did lots of tricks, but some of his most famous tricks were, making an elephant disappear, and of course the Chinese torture cell. sadly he died doing this trick
the Chinese Water Torture Cell
If you separate magic tricks from escapology, then Houdini's most impressive trick was the disappearing elephant trick. Here an elephant was walked on to the stage and into a box; the box was rotated then opened. The elephant and keeper were gone. The trick is all the more impressive if you know that under the stage was a swimming pool so there were no trap doors. It's generally thought that Houdini did the trick with a slanted mirror inside the box. This method is still used today to make the Statue of Liberty (or the like) disappear.
Harry Houdini, probably the most famous magician, was an escapologist - an escape artist. He did things like being buried alive. Get out of a strait jacket upsidedown. Underwater escapes and lots of other cool things.

Harry Houdini's underwater trick, known as the "Chinese Water Torture Cell," involved him being suspended upside down in a locked glass tank filled with water. Houdini would escape from the tank while underwater, often within a matter of minutes. The trick was designed to create suspense and showcase his extraordinary escape skills, as he would often be handcuffed and bound before being submerged. This performance became one of his most famous and dangerous acts, captivating audiences with its dramatic tension.
