The Crucible is finale so to speak for becoming a Marine where all of the things you've learned come in to play and it's the ultimate test. You won't get any sleep for 2-3 days, have very little food, march miles and miles, crawl through mud, water, grass, dirt, etc. Go through various obstacle courses that are somewhat mentally challenging (especially after no sleep for 48 hours) and on and on. Simply put, it's the hardest training segment of any of America's military branch's boot camps so get ready for it.
There is no alliteration used in the crucible.
Abigail was 17 in the Crucible
He write THE CRUCIBLE IN 1953

Basic training (boot camp) is required the summer before you begin at the Naval Academy. If you are thinking of the harshness of it all, the Marine Corps boot camp will be as it is concentrated into 3 months, however, the Naval Academy will stretch it out over 4 years. Due to the nature of the two it is not a fair comparison to think of them in the same context as their missions are different.
